I also use them as natural-toned eyeshadow base ☺ But for, like, natural wearable, skin like definition, nothing looks better than a cream □❤ I usually use a very small, imperceptible amount around the jawline, sometimes a little at the cheekbones, and at the outer edge of my eye socket to "lift" the eyes. And I can layer that over a cream if I wanna go all-out (which I never do □). So for really cool tones, powder is the way to go, I think. I also sometimes use actual grey eyeshadow to contour around the eyes. One neutral, and the other darker and properly cool and ashy. I do own an ancient powder contour from Sivanna, with two pans. The Insight mauvey one especially, so good with a little pink mixed in. It's a good shade for light-medium skin tones.īecause of my particular skintone, I use the Insight and NY Bae products more as bronzer/blush, and to mix with lipstick to make custom cream blushes. This one is cool-toned, but in a pinky way. □ Insight Cosmetics Pro Concealer Palette - Corrector / ₹175 retail for 15g, so the contour shade is, like, 30 bucks for 2.5g Great value for money, too, and it's a lot or product ☺ It sets down more than the others as well. It's a stiffer, dryer formula than the other two. It blends out well, but doesn't go everywhere. It's not as grey as I expected, but I realise that my skintone is very muted and already cool - this neutral shade would suit way more people. Like, sculpting and chiselling and creating dramatic shadow. I think this is the one I'd suggest for anyone wanting a proper contour shade. I bought this off Deepthi Desikan's recommendation, and I'm quite happy with it. □ Eyetex Dazller Foundation Stick, Contour FS / ₹200 retail for 9g You can find the ingredients list and some more details on this blog review. Sets down slightly, so it doesn't move much once blended out. It has an emollient formula that blends very easily. On me, it's more like a bronzer - a perfect bronzer □. Wouldn't work if you have proper pink undertones. It would work as a contour for light and medium skin, or a very dewy, medium-coverage cream foundation for deeper skin tones. ![]() I'd recommend this just for how nice the undertone looks. ![]() This one has a really nice yellow undertone, and it's slightly cool. □ NY Bae Foundation Concealer Contour Color Corrector Stick, For Dark Skin - Do the Harlem Dance - Toffee 6 / ₹125 retail for 4.
